Ante Kler, sometimes being vocal is much better than being silent and keeping everything bottled up until it explodes.

They were expressing their frustrations—frustrations that, for all we know, are also being felt by people in their own communities.

Democracy is not about teaching young people to clap on cue. It is about teaching them how to speak, question, disagree and, yes, sometimes criticize those in power.

Because when you keep forcing people to swallow their frustrations, don’t be surprised when one day, they no longer whisper. They explode.

And perhaps that is the lesson worth discussing—not why students dared to speak, but why they felt they had something to say in the first place.
